Covid-19, the contagious respiratory and vascular disease broke out in 2019, later became an ongoing epidemic during 2020. China has performed total lock down as a preventive measure, the once busy cities and streets became empty over one night.

 

    During the 2020 Lunar New Year, the dreams of long waited reunion for many families were shattered, for this new pneumonia is highly contagious,  number of infected rises by the day, striking fear into everyone’s heart. Even though it was the time to celebrate our most important annual festival, we could not go out to visit family and friends, it was impossible to sit down for a meet up, shops are all closed down… the city, the whole country quieted down, this was unprecedented.

 

    It was already insufferable for people who stayed at home to sit it out, but there were people who cannot even do that, they have duty to perform, to keep the city running, supporting the anti-epidemic frontline. The sudden boom of patients caught the medical system off guard, not only short handed, medical supplies were also depleted. As a production enterprise in WuHan, MuLanTongDa took an active part in supporting the anti-epidemic campaign, joining efforts with our compatriots, prevailing through this precarious situation.

 

    From the 1st day of Lunar New Year, our senior model worker Peng XiCai and senior CCP member Liao XinRen have inspired us with their indomitable spirits, devoting our full capacity into producing “YOU ZHI” series of disinfection products, 84 Disinfectant, 75% Alcohol Disinfectant to meet the city’s every growing needs, steadying the supply, and cooperating with donation campaigns. Our purchaser Pan YiFang, Storekeeper Zhu Yao, Director of Production Department Wang ShaoJun, Driver Peng Peng stayed duty-bound on the post. Although our colleagues were away from the city, but they were also standing by around the clock to help with the coordination, design, packaging and money transfer. When our colleague, Mr. Cao JingYao realized the company was in need, he has voluntarily came back to WuHan in order to support the epidemic containment effort. Even when the epidemic brings huge uncertainty into our lives, we are willing to make it better!

 

    The epidemic outbreak of Covid-19 in Wuhan was a heartrending moment for every compatriot, although our Chairperson Xia MuLan was in Jiangxi at that moment, but seeing our home in time of needs, she immediately instructed the company staff to contact Yang Fan from the engineering department of HuoShenShan Hospital, donating a batch of our "home-made" product: Orcín Antibacterial Hand Gel. With social responsibility in mind, during the most critical time, when Madam Xia MuLan learned about the supply shortage, she has brought a truck loads of supplies from Jiangxi herself, all the way to Wuhan. 

 

    Heroism is the accumulation of ordinary brave deeds. Seeing the way she works, you may not notice that Xia MuLan's already in her sixties, and she’s still reaching for the skies, making contribution to combat the epidemic, with practical actions. 

 

    Since the epidemic outbreak, MuLanTongDa stood in the face of many restraints, such as material and personnel shortage, logistic difficulties, etc. But we have faith in ourselves, that we will prevail. Disease is ruthless, but our love and passion will overcome the social distancing of the disease. We will do our best to maintaining our production, because we know that it is vital for keeping the lifeline of epidemic containment running.

 

    We would like to express our deepest thank to the Wuhan Disease Prevention Headquarter, The City Hall and Regional Economic Information Bureau for their support and coordination, we will stand our grounds, keep our production of disease preventive medical supply flowing, supporting this epidemic containment campaign, until victory is won. Chief Director Zheng from the Regional Economic Information Bureau has visited MuLanTongDa, his supervision has given us aspiration and confidence to help us fight this epidemic. Director Peng from Wuhan Disease Prevention Headquarter has enabled a “Green Access” to help us coordinating materials, achieving our tasks. When our convoy arrived in XuZhou, knowing they were loaded with supplies critical for disease prevention, the local government has appointed staffs escorting our vehicles to the rendezvous point. Along the way, there was even local people holding banners, cheering WuHan up… seeing this, our drivers, really gritty tough guys, were softened into tears, for this is a true manifestation of “When disaster strikes, help comes from all sides”.

 

    Selfless medical personnels, fearless police officers, and the community uniting together! This was a war that health care workers and soldiers fought together, bravely! Merchants, civilians, neighboring countries made benevolent donations. cultural differences cannot stop us from sharing nature and love, “Together we stand, my armors thine.”

 

    We believe that with the leadership and guidance of our government, the hardworking and sacrifice of our health care workers, and the joined effort of every compatriot, we will ride out the storm of this epidemic. Hooray for WuHan, Hooray for China!

 

    Though we are not angels in white, we will not shy away from our social responsibility, for this is the duty and honor of everyone of us in MuLanTongDa.
